This set is newly upholstered in auto grade charcoal brown tweed. Originally designed in the 1960s, their shapes have been modernized and streamlined in order to create large paintable surfaces. Asheville muralist and gallery artist Ishmael hand-painted a flock of starlings (known as a murmuration) flying from a cage on the outside left arm of the couch and continuing across the inside back. The birds continue their flight pattern across the inside back and the outside right arm of the chair. The paint is specifically made for fabric and has been heat sealed. New 6″ tall brushed aluminum square legs finish out this elegant and unique set.
